Adelphi – Adulting, Together®

Safeguarding & Support Boundaries

Last updated: 11 March 2026

Adelphi – Adulting, Together® is committed to creating safe, respectful, and supportive environments across our platform, partnerships, and professional work.

Many people who engage with Adelphi may have lived experience of the care system or may be navigating complex transitions into adulthood. Because of this, safeguarding and wellbeing are central considerations in how Adelphi operates.

This page explains the boundaries of the support Adelphi provides and how safeguarding is approached across our work.

The Role of Adelphi

Adelphi exists to support care-experienced young people, professionals, and organisations by providing:

• practical guidance and accessible information
• signposting to organisations and services
• opportunities, partnerships, and initiatives
• training, talks, and professional development
• resources designed to support independence and confidence

Our aim is to bridge gaps between systems, services, and opportunity, helping people access knowledge and support that can help them move forward.

What Adelphi Does Not Provide

While Adelphi aims to be supportive and informative, it is important to understand that Adelphi is not a crisis or emergency service.

Adelphi does not provide:

• emergency safeguarding intervention
• crisis mental health services
• legal advice
• financial advice
• medical or therapeutic services

Where professional support is required, individuals should seek support from appropriate qualified services or organisations.

If You Need Urgent Help

If you or someone else may be at immediate risk of harm, please contact emergency services.

In the United Kingdom this may include:

Emergency services:
999

NHS urgent medical support:
111

Mental health crisis support:
NHS 111 (select the mental health option) or local crisis teams

If you are unsure where to seek help, trusted professionals or local services may be able to guide you.

Safeguarding Considerations

Adelphi takes safeguarding responsibilities seriously.

If information is shared that suggests a person may be at risk of serious harm, Adelphi may have a duty to escalate concerns to appropriate services or authorities where necessary.

This would only occur where safeguarding responsibilities or legal obligations require it.

Where possible, safeguarding concerns are handled carefully, respectfully, and proportionately.

External Organisations and Services

The Adelphi platform may signpost to external organisations, initiatives, or services that provide specialist support.

These organisations operate independently from Adelphi and are responsible for their own services, safeguarding policies, and professional advice.

Users should review the policies and terms of any external organisation they choose to engage with.

Our Approach

Adelphi aims to create environments that are:

• respectful
• inclusive
• trauma-informed
• supportive
• empowering

We believe access to clear information, opportunities, and supportive networks can make a meaningful difference for people navigating independence and new stages of life.

Feedback and Concerns

If you have any concerns relating to safeguarding, wellbeing, or the way information is presented on the Adelphi platform, please contact us:

We will take concerns seriously and respond appropriately.

In Summary

Adelphi – Adulting, Together® provides guidance, information, and opportunities designed to support independence and development.

However, Adelphi is not a substitute for professional or emergency services. Where specialist or urgent support is required, individuals should contact appropriate organisations or authorities.
